WIDOW'S WALK GOLF COURSE
FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONTRACT

The Town of Scituate, Massachusetts, through its Board of Selectmen, the awarding authority, is seeking bids to operate its golf clubhouse food and beverage operations at the Widow's Walk Golf Course for the period March 1, 2012 through February 28, 2015 with two optional renewable one-year terms. Bids shall be received no later than 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in the Town Administrator's Office, 600 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate, MA 02066. The IFB may be obtained at said office or from the Town's website at www.town.scituate.ma.us, or by calling 781-545-8741. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to award in the best interest of the Town.

This Invitation for Bid is governed by the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B and will be awarded to the more responsive and responsible bidder .

FACILITIY ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT PLAN: GATES SCHOOL - PDF

Questions for the Facility Analysis and Assessment Plan, Gates School RFP:

1. Are existing drawings available for the facility (Arch, Struct, MEP, Civil, etc.)? WE HAVE BUILDING PLANS AND EXISTING DRAWINGS COMPLETED IN NOVEMBER OF 2006 FOR BUILDING RENOVATIONS THAT WERE PERFORMED.
2. Is a current site survey available? THE DRAWINGS HAVE SOME TOPOGRAPHY BUT IT IS NOT COMPLETE
3. Is there a current Hazardous Material report for the existing facility? If so, can this be distributed to the bidders? THERE IS AN ASBESTOS HAZARDOUS EMERGENCY RESPONSE DOCUMENT; IT IS 75 PAGES LONG AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME VIEW IT
4. The RFQ mentions that an existing conditions report was performed in 2004, known as the Habeeb Report. Will this report be distributed to bidders? IT IS AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW; IT INCLUDES ALL SCHOOLS AND IS TWO VOLUMES
5. Per the provisions of MGL chapter 7, section 38A ½ through 38O for projects where designer fees exceed $10,000, has the jurisdiction set the design fee or established a not-to-exceed limit? If so, could you share that amount? Any details you can provide regarding the budget would be helpful as we assemble our team of consultants and prepare a project approach. THERE IS A NOT TO EXCEED LIMIT OF $60,000.
6. One section of the RFP requests that we provide 1 original and 10 copies of our proposal, and another section requests that we provide 1 original and 4 copies of our proposal. Can you please clarify the number of copies you'd like to receive? 10
7. In the RFP section titled "Project Background" the following statement was included: "The building has had several additions over the years; however, for the purposes of this study, primary focus will be on the on the original building and its façade." It conflicts with a statement in the list of objectives included in the section entitled "Scope of Services". Objective 1 states that the facility analysis and assessment plan for the Gates School is: "To determine if the entire building, including additions are structurally sound or if the entire facility or portions thereof should be razed." Please clarify whether the subject of the RFP is only the first section known as "A", and if wings "B" and "C" are included in the facility analysis and assessment. IT IS ONLY FOR THE ORIGINAL BUILDING AND ITS FAÇADE, NOT THE ENTIRE BUILDING.
